KOHINUI WOMEN'S INSTITUTE.
A very pleasant afternoon was spent at the August meeting of the Kohi mu W.T. held recently in the hall A number of Pahiatua W T members journeyed out and, gave a deiJightful programme, there being visitors present from Maiigataino-ka. also. Mi's Tattle presided and the meeting opened with the “Ode to Ti lendship.” Mrs J. D. C. Crewe gave a very interesting report on the recent, conference held in Christchurch ; after which Miss Chat-win entertained with a song while Miss Hoggard accompanied her at the piano. Mrs Green then demonstrated the making of some very pretty cushions. After afternoon tea a competition va.s held and everyone was very pleased when the prize went tr Mrs Crewe. After a- hearty vote of thanks ha<l been accorded the visitors, the meeting closed with the. National Anthem. Hostesses were Mrs and Miss Rose ail'd Mi's J. Ellmers.
