SENIORS v. JUNIORS. The Bush senior rep. team to play the Bush juniors on the Showgrounds on Saturday next for a dinner, is as follows:—Full-back, Udy ; threequarters. Wolland. Walker. Smith. Richardson (Alf.), A. McKay; backs, Michael, Keene and McSherry. THE FIRE BRIGADE FOOTBALL MATCH. (By “Old Brigade.”) At the Showgrounds to-morrow the Pahiatua and WoodviKe Fire Brigades will meet for their annual fireeating contest for the handsome nine carrots cup. A good lively game is anticipated, as the local team has been coached for the event by -George Walker. Mr E. H. Lett, of international Rugby fame, will .act as referee. Play will commence at 2.30 p. m. The Pahiatua team will be chosen from the following:—T. O’Brien. T. Morgan, R. Harrison, J. Richardson, T. Murphy, O. McDonald, O. Oxley, L. Angel ini. W. Lawrv. J. Mc-Sherrv. J. Mills. B. Mills, "H. Reeves, B. Taylor. R. Batten, H. Vile J. McKay, K. Lucas, M. Cosford. H. Webster, R. Davey. Players are to be at the Eire Station at 2 p.m. MULL AN INJURED. CANTERBURY HALF HURT. Electric Telegraph—Press Association CHRISTCHURCH, August 21. It is doubtful whether T. Mullan, the Canterbury half, who played a splendid game on Saturday, will lie available next Saturday for the match against Otago. Toward the end of the game he received concussion, and he spent the week-end in hospital. J. H. Geddes and G Porter, Southlanders, who were injured on Saturday, may not be able to continue the northern tour. Saturday’s gate was £lslO, a record for a provincial game.
