WEDDING

BUCKLEY'—NELSON. (BY “DOLORES.”) A quiet wedding took place in Pahiatua in St. Peter’s Anglican Church on Thursday afternoon last, when the Rev. G. AY. Fenwick united in the bonds of holy matrimony Constance, second daughter of Mr John Nelson and the late Mrs Nelson, of Kaitawa, to George Stirling, younger ison of Mrs Buckley and the late Mr E. C. Buckley, of Canterbury. The bride, who wais given av.ay by her father, wore a charming "own of ivory satin be-aute, with long sleeves and tight-fitting bodice, the uneven hemline falling low at one side, and a diamante buckle over a bow of ribbon at one side of the waist line. The beautiful tulle veil was the- one worn by the bride’s grandmother. A sheath of arum lilies and Christmas roses completed an effective toilet. Miss Molly Nelson, sister of the bride, and Miss Lucy Nelson, the bride’s cousin attended as bridesmaids, both wearing powder blue frocks of the same style as that of the bride, and wearing grey felt hats, shoes and stockings. Their bouquets were of cyclamen, violets and maidenhair. The bridegroom’s brother. Mr AY. E. Buckley, was best man, and Mr Graham Nelson attended as groomsman. After the ceremony a family gathering was held at the residence, of Mr and Mrs F. P. Nelson, Pahiatua. When the happy couple left by motor on their trip through the North Island, the bride wore a prune brown tailored suit and hat to match.
