PORI SCHOOL
THE' PRIZE-WINNERS. The Pori school held a very pleasant breaking-up picnic at Makuri this week. Good prizes were forthcoming and the children spent a very happy day. The school prizes for the year were won as follows: Arithmetic and English, Stcl. 5, Noel Mason ; recitation and essay, Stcl. 2, Winston Mason; writing and drawing, St. 1. Avis Wilton; reading and composition, St. 1, Meryl Wilton; arithmetic and reading, St. 1, Billy Tresseder. Special prizes: For diligence (presented by Airs Tresseder), Noel Mason ; most progress (prize presented by Miss Hughes), Billy Tresseder.
Th e following children passed in their different classes: Noel Mason, Winston Mason, Billy Tresseder, Avis Wilton, and Meryl Wilton.
