MAKURI GORGE
BLOCKED BY SLIP. Just after the Pongaroa mail ear passed through the Makuri Gorge this morning a big slip came down and completely blocked the roadway near the spot where the Pori road joins it. The road will he blocked all day but county employees are engaged now in removing the obstruction and it is possible that the road may be sufficiently clear this evening. _
