M Bolton, daughter of Mrs and the late Dr. Spencer Beard, formerly of Pahiatua. has gained the diploma of the Royal College of Arts, South Kensington. Airs Bolton has been studying at South Kensington •for the last three years. The course. i« a very difficult one. and the standard of the test is regarded as severe for a. woman. Mrs Bolton is to be congratulated upon gaining such a distinguished honour.. She was.well known in Mastertbh some years ago as Art Mistress at the Technical School.
