WEDDING BELLS

LOVE—W A LLACE. Rare sunshine favoured the wedding on Wednesday morning last of Ellen Aroha Mary, second daughter of the late Mr and Mrs Wallace, of Dannevirke, and Claude Leonard Robert Love, eldest son of Mr and Mrs R. T. Love, of Mnkuri, which was solemnised at St- John’s Church, Dannevirke, in the presence of a large party of wedding guests. The Rev. G. B. Stephenson officiated. The bride, who was given away by her brothel*, Mr Jack Wallace, looked very sweet in a lovely gown of heavy white silk trimmed with silver lace. The veil was arranged with a coronet of pearls and orange blossom. Miss Marcia Johnson, cousin of the bride, was chief bridesmaid and looked charming in a dress of old rose crepe de chene. Miss Hazel Wallace, sister of the bride, made a very pretty bridesmaid, being dressed in shell pink crepe de chene. Both wore a wreath of silver leaves in their hair and carried bouquets of white and apricot roses. The bridegroom was attended by Mr Mick Carswell as best man, and Mr Fred Neal carried out the duties of groomsman. Following the ceremony a reception was held at Drury’s tearooms. Mrs Wallace, mother of the bride, received a large number of guests in a becoming frock of heavy black silk trimmed with heiio and hat to match, ,Mrs Love, mother of tlie bridegroom, was in wine-colour-ed rep. beautifully worked, and a hat to match. The young couple later left by car for a wedding trip, tin' bride travelling in a mole coloured tweed, and a wine coloured velour coat and hat to match. A very large number of beauti'ril gifts was received from many friends. The bridegroom’s gifts to the bride and bridesmaids were handsome strings ot pearls. Mr and Mrs Love will make their home in Makuri.
