WAIKATO ACCIDENTS

CHILD DROWNED. FARM HAND SEVERELY INJURED. Electric Telegraph—Press Association HAMILTON. This Day. The infant son of Howard Meek, of Huntly, was found drowned in ja creek at the back of his parents’ residence last night, A neighbour discovered the child in the water. Artificial respiration was unavailing. A serious accident occurred at Waitetuna, when a farflt hand named Alfred Little was working a drill and the horses got out of control. He was knocked down, and the drill passed over his head, fracturing his skull. Little, who is aged 32, a married man, with five young children, was admitted to hospital in a critical condition. He has not yet regained consciousness.
