With the Church Assembly’s appfnval, ail overseas settlement council has been formed in order that the moral and material forces of the Church of England at Home and abroad may be placed at the disposal of official and other organisations engaged in migration. The council will, if needed. help migrants financially, provide for their reception and aftercare and supply letters of introduction. Tlie Bishops of Uiondon and Salisbury and fifteen leading churchmen will be tire first governing board. The churches of the Dominions will be asked to co-operate.
