BALLANCE HALL.
SEVERAL IMPROVEMENTS
(From Our Own Correspondent.} The annual meeting of the Ballance Hall committee was held on Monday evening, when there was a lair attendance, considering the boisterous weather. Mr F. F. Horne and Mr L. Polgla.se (secretary) read the report and balance sheet. The report set out very fully what had been done during the year. Improvements included the new stage, the enlarging of the ball, supper room, ladies and gents dressing rooms, shifting of the porch and entrance, etc., also the painting of the hall. ' . • . = The balance sheet showed receipts to be 2142 12s 2d, expenditure 21H Bs, credit balance £1 4s 2d. The report and balance sheet were adopted, on the motion of Mr A. H. G. Cooper, seconded by Mr ■ A. Gibson. The retiring committee were accorded a very hearty vote ofi thanks and re-elected. Mr Horne was re-elected chairman of committee and Mr Polglase secretary.
