A POPULAR INSTITUTION
INC LEASE rN SUBSCRIBERS. The Pallia tua Municipal Library is increased in popularity. When Hie present librarian assumed dirty, the number nf subscribers were 75, and the number joined since has been 56. In the recently created children’s department, there arc rat present 14 subscribers. Fifteen additional daily papers have been filed. Durian the month of January 869 books of fiction were taken out. The volumes have all been classified rand are now in proper order. The conduct of the institution has evoked verv < omplimentary remarks from visitors. Exclusive of encyclopaedias, the lending department, contains 272:3 books.
