Mrs Blay, of Eaurimu, is spending a holiday with her parents, Mr and Mrs A. Gardner, of Mangamutu.
Miss K. Bissett has returned from Hastings, where she has been spending tlie past few weeks.
Mr J. Kotlowski, of Pahiatua, underwent a serious operation in the public hospital this week. His condition to-day was reported to show a good improvement.
An old and much respected resident of the Hukanui district, in the person of Mrs Bridget Evelyn Dougberty passed away at Hukanui oil Friday. The deceased, who was the relict of the late Mr Patrick Dougherty, wa's aged 72 years, and the members of the family are well-known in this district. The funeral will take place in Pahiatua. oil Monday moning. A requiem Mass will bo held at the Boman Catholic Church at- 10 a.m.
