Cairo, May 26. The Nationalist leader, /. _i..\ who is hold to be indirectly respon siblo lor the recent outbreaks hcrt> and in Alexandria, has made a belated appeal. Ho called on the people to restrain their righteous anger against iho Ministry and coast* demonstrations. He endeavours to saddle the authorities with responsibility for tin* disorders. Meantime the threatened railway strike in Cairo has not materialised. I wo thousand five hundred railway workshop workers, who had struck, have been dismissed. The Government's cotton store was set afire, and 10,000 bales are involved.
