Le Temps emphasises the importance of the declaration that At. Briand made in t-lie Chamber of Deputies that if militarily tho Allies are unable to support France she could act on lier own account, that is without the Allies, but not against, them. Le Temps says it I hopes that Air Lloyd George will take the 'first opportunity of declaring that the British Government, adheres to thosflj principles.

Prior to the Chamber carrying a motion of confidence in tho Government during the debate on the foreign policy, AI. Briand, replying to Ar. Klatz, an ex-minister (who asked if he did not think France had already made too many concessions to Britain*),) said “Our Allies have made as many, perhaps more, to us.” The Chamber by 432 votes to 166, passed a vote of confidence in AI.
