MOST SOUTHERLY FLIGHT
’PLANE AT STEWART ISLAND. Electric Telegraph—Press Association Invercargill, Last Night. The tmfirst «fmtherLV aeroplane flight in the world was made to-day, when a Dc Haviland machine from 'Timaru made a surprise visit to Stewart Island, making a delivery of the “Southland Times”, and selecting a site stiitable for a future- la nth-ing-placo. It was the first aeroplane seen in the Island, and caused considerable excitement. Tlie machine left tor Dunedin at- 4.45 p.m., with two passengers.
