GISBORNE TENDERS.
When tenders were placxl before the Borough Council at Gisborne for the additions to the power station and car barn, preliminary to the instnllaiou ol the steam plant, some councillors expressed surprise that only three tenders were forthcoming for a jot running into approximately £2OOO, and that the tendering was .so close. As all the prices exceeded the estimate. it was decided to refer them t< Mr K. -J Fenn, consulting cicctrieal engineer, for his eon-idemt on. It was also decided to write to Mr Fonu about expediting the contracts in connection with the electrical servici extension.
