Cooking apples arc procurable from Horton, Ltd., at 2® per ease. Prime peaches and pears are to hand, and are selling at reasonable rates.
For the tennis season. Mr J. J. Boagey. saddler, has a full stock ot racquets «£’ British make. His selection should be inspected by tennis players. At. the Mart to-morrow another big consignment of assorted fruit will be auctioned. Housewives engaged in making jam should attend this sale and make a good selection. Consignments of vegetables will be sold.
With to-day's issue there is distributed a sale notice from Evans'. Readers will note that everything (except haberdashery and Tobraloo) is reduced in price. Tho price of Tobralco is fixed by the merchant to prevent undue exploiting, and the price stated must !>e adhered to. Evans holds a fine stock of this cloth.
