OUTRAGE ON A NURSE. DIES IN AGONY. Electric Telegraph—Press Association. Copyright. London, Last Night. During an attack on Velvorde the Germans cut off the breast of Miss Grace Hume, of Dumfries. Scotland, who was a Red Cross nurse in the hospital. Miss Hume died in great agony. She had prevented a German soldier shooting a wounded man, and had shot the German dead. CAUSES OF VICTORIES. Petrograd, Last Night. Colonel Shumsky, in an article in the ‘'Bourse Gazette,” says:— “Viewing the genera] situation in all the theatres of war. it is fair to conclude that our successes on the Austrian front and also the movement in East Prussia are the primary causes of the victories of the Anglo-French troops. The turning point of the great battle of millions was when Russia hurled on the Austrian front every available man, checking the enemy and then assuming the offensive.”
