WEDDING BELLS.

O’NEILL —AIULCAHY

A wedding of considerable interest to the Mangatainoka district was celebrated at the Woodville Catholic Church yesterday, when Aliss Ellen (Nellie) Mulcahy, eldest daughter of Air P. Mulcahy, of Mangatainoka, was married to Mr Daniel O, O Neill, eldest son of Mr D. O’Neill, of AVetlington. The bride, who was given away by her father, was attired in a very becoming dre-s of white armue silk, the bodice being fitted with a medica collar of rich lace. The skirt was draped and trimmed with lace. Miss Molly Mulcahy, sister of the bride, was the chief bridesmaid. She wore a saxe blue charmeuse dresß with over-bodice of saxe blue ninon and rich lace trimmings. She also wore a French model hat of pint,*,ninon, trimmed with a spray ot miniature roses and black pleated ninon. The other bridesmaid, Aliss Kathleen O’Neill, sister of the bridegroom, was attired in a white silk dress trimmed with choice lace and floral sash and Dolly Varden hat with floral crown of the latest design. Mrs O’Neill, mother of the bridegroom, wore a navy blue tailored costume, with saxe blue hat, trimmed with ospreys. Airs Mulcahy. mother of the bride, wore a brown glace silk dress trimmed with Oriental lace, and black hat, trimmed with ostrich plumes. Air P. O’Neill attended as best man, and Air Ned Mulcahy acted as groomsman. The officiating clergyman was the Rev. Father T. AlcKenna, of Pahatua. After the ceremony a reception was held ijn Woodvilk*, where a large gathering of relatives and friends sat down to the wedding breakfast. Subsequently the wedding party motored to the residence of the bride’s parents, at Mangatainoka, where a social gathering was held in the evening in honour of the occasion. Air and Mrs O’Neill were the recipients of many handsome and useful present, including a number of cheques. The newly-married couple left for the north on a honeymoon tour. The bride’s travelling costume consisted of a smart tailored dress of khaki cloth and hat of blue tagel straw, trimmed with cerise wings.
