REGISTRATION REFUSED. Electric Felegrarth—Press \-Ms-nition Wellington. This Day. An application for registration bv a non A\ barf Labourers’ l nion was made some time ago. and has l*een refused hv the Registrar of Awards. I his has been done on the advice of the Solicitor-General. Among the reasons given for the refusal was one to the effect that the applicants had not shown any diversity of interest with the existing union within the meaning ot tlie Act. The applicants have the right- to appeal to the Arbitration Court against this decision. Had tlie applicaton been granted, it is understood that the existing union would have appealed against it.
