UPPER HOUSE APPOINTMENTS.
NONE TILL THE HOUSE MEETS. Electric Telegraph—Press Association Wellington, Last, Night. The term of office in the legislative Council of the Hon. R A. Loughnan expired to-day arid that of the Hons. J. Rigg and J. E. Jenkinson expires on Ist July next. Questioned by a reporter to-day on the subject of tilling several vacancies which have occurred on the Council since the beginning of th<3 year the Prime Minister said that no announcement would he made until Parliament met. It. was probable that the appointments would he announced in the Governor’s speech.
