A two-storey building known as the St. Helier Hotel, at St. Helior’s Bay, was destroyed by fire with its contents early this morning. The building was owned by Hancock and Co., and occupied by Brinsmead and Dickerson as a store and private hotel. The insurances were £I4OO on the building and £3OO on the furniture in the Commercial Union.
