The Woodlands Hunt Club meet tomorrow afternoon at Mr Avery's property, Konini. when an enjoyable run is promised followers of the hounds.

The annual general meeting of the Pahiatua Racing Club will be held in the Commercial Hotel on Thursday evening next. Ist August, at 8 n.m. to receive report and balance-sheet, elect officers and trai sact general busint ss. At a meeting ol the Star-Bowkett Building Society, held last evening in Mi W. 1. Husband's office, Mr Walter Norrell was elected chairman ol directors lor the ensuing year.

Over a hundred nominations have been received for the Woodlands Hunt Club meeting, which takes place on the Pahiatua racecourse on August Ist. There are seven events, and a capital day's sport is promised . Linoleums and floorcloths are pass-
