EKETAIIUNA SALE. Messrs Dalgety and Company, Limited, report on their Eketahuna sale, held on Friday, 19th inst, as follow: All sheep that were advertised came forward, also cattle. Bidding was spirited for sheep, all selling under the hammer. Cattle were dull of sale. We quote: Ewes m lamb, 16s 9d, 18s \ sd, 19 s 3d, 20s, 20s Sd : culls 12, 2d: i lamb,, to 13s 3d; forward weathers, I 17s lid. Cattle were poor. WeanI er.,, 16, 9d; cows, from £.'2 12s to i £4 ' ! lots for which there was strong competition showing a farthing advance. Crutchings were, however, slightly easier and may be quoted a )d to a )d lower than last sale. Hides were considerably easier in sympathy with the recent decline in values in other markets and must be quoted fully 3-Btlis of a penny per lb lower than last sale. We quote:—Wool: Crossbred stragglers fleece, 7)d to 8d per lb, crutchings clean, 6)d to 6jd; crutchings, wasty and inferior, 5d to 5Jd; pieces, locks, etc., 4d to 5aSkins: Crossbred medium fine, 8)d to 9d; crossbred coarse, 8d to Bjd; crossbred short wools, 6Jd to 7)d; lambs, 7)d to BJd ; hoggets and dead, 6)d to 7)d ; crossbreds green, 5s 6d to 7s each. Messrs Abraham aud Williams, Lim. ited, report on their sale held on Friday as follow:—We offered a fair quantity of hides, skins, tallow, etc. There was a goow muster of buyers. Our offering of wool consisted chiefly of medium crutchings, which, owing to recent advices from Home, receded in value. Competition for skins was very animated aud prices were in accord with late full rates. Hides were very dull of sale and receded fully )d in value. Tallow sold at good prices.
