Sydney, July The Herald says on Saturday’s form it is practically certain that we cannot bring a team into the -eld to Oeat New Zealand, and declares that the combination of their backs was the finest ever shown by any New Zealand team. The Telegraph refers to the backs as. a wonderful piece of machinery, of which apparently Mitchinson held the key. The Council of the Rugby Union to-night agreed that in the event of Australia losing the second test match against New Zealand, the third against New South Wales substituted. OTHER MATCHES.
