RECIPROCITY IN NEWS MATTER
Melbourne. May 30. Mr Seddon, who returned from Adelaide to-day, had a lengthy interview with Mr David Syme, proprietor of the "Age,” in reference to reciprocity in news matter. Dunedin. May 29. Mr George Fenwick, as chairman of the Press Association, asks the Dunedin agent to telegraph that the Premier’s statement, as cabled, that the New Zealand Government pays a considerable sum each year towards the upkeep of the Press Association has no foundation in fact, as not one penny is so paid. Probably, Mr Seddon was misreported.
