PTOMAINE POISONING.
PER UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION. Palmerston North. May 30. At the inquest to-day touching the death of C. Hosking, aged 66 years, a verdict was returned as follows: “That Air. Hosking died from heart failure caused by exhaustion fron. the effects of ptomaine poisoning through having eaten tongue.” The presence of the poison in the meat seems from the evidence to be purely unaccountable, and no blame is attachable to anyone. Air. Gilruth and several other members of the veterinary staff gave evidence.
