RIOT IN A COURT.
PI.A-ANTS ATTEMPT TO RESCUE A WOMAN WONDER-DOCTOR. There was a riot in the district court at Kempton to-day. stated a Rerli: telegram ot March 23, when Jost-pha Wolff, a woman wonder-doc-tor. seventytwo years of age, was sentenced to sis weeks’ imprisonment. She had earned large sums of monev by her quick practice, and the peasant' had unlimited faith in her powers. Recently two patients sustained litelong injuries from her treatment, and when the cases were reported to the public prosecutor he took action. The Court was crowded with believer- in the old woman, who attended to give evidence of the cures she had effected in their own cases, and hundreds of people waited outside for the verdict. When sentence was passed the Court was stormed by the crowd, who attempted to rescue Wolff. They stoned the judge as lie left the building. smashed the windows, and bad a stubborn fight with the police, who made some arrests.
