AN EXCITING INCIDENT. New A'ork, May 28. Larcy, an American guard on the Mexican Central Railway, killed a Mexican at Jiminez in a quarrel about a girl. In order to avoid being lynched Larcy uncoupled the locomotive of the northern express and compelled the driver to race to the frontier—a distance of three hundred and seventy miles. lie then abandoned the engine and disappeared.
MANCHURIAN RAILWAYS
Tokio, May 28. Admiral Togo, General Kuroki and Marquis Ito, ex-Premier of the Japanese Cabinet, are starting on a tour of inspection in Manchuria. It is believed that their mission is connected with the Government’s decision to run the Manchurian railways themselves.
