London, F ebruary 26. A petition from Victoria against altering tbe King’s oath was read in the House of Commons and laid on tbe table. The Right Hob. J. \V. Mellor also presented other Australasian petitions. The British petitions on the same subject are as follows ; —England, 28t,617 signatures; Scotland, 59147; Ireland, 16,919; Wales, 8670 ; Channel Islands, 2869. London, F'ebruary 27. A meeting of Catholics, held at Capetown, protested against the terms of the Accession oath.
