Siberian Butter.

Over 300,000 cwt. of butter has been imported into England from Siberia during the present year (says the Mark Lane Er/irrst of December 2nd.) It comes by way of railway to Riga, whence it is shipped to this country. The trade is one which the Russian Government naturally desires to foster, and with this ob ject their financial agent in England, M. Tatistcbeff, on Wednesday, met, at the Cannon Street Hotel, E.C., a number of those importing this commodity. Several suggestions for improving the system of bringing the butter to this country were made. These M, Tatistcbeff promised should receive the serious consideration of tbe Russian Minister of Finance, who was desirous of meeting the wishes of those engaged in the trade.
