Lord Kitchener’s Appreciation of Australians.
A Reuter’s telegram from London published in the Cape Times of 16th January, records the following high compliment paid by Lord Kitchener to Australian soldiers :—Lora Kitchener, in reply to an enquiry as to whether individual Australians would be allowed to enlist for South Africa, has said that he is willing to accept any number of Australians, as their services have been of peculiar value.
