Auckland, October 11. At a public meeting to consider a project to erect a memorial or statue to the memory of Sir G. Grey in recognition of his services to Auckland and the colony it was resolved to initiate a movement to erect a statue to cost from £ISOO to £2OOO. Enthusiastic speeches were delivered and there was an excellent attendance.
