THE WELLINGTON TRAM EMPLOYEES.
Strictures by the N.Z. Times
By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, This Day. The Times publishes figures on the long hours and low wages of tramway employees, according to which the hands in Wellington with some exceptions work longer hours at less wages than in other towns. The Times stigmatises the system as a disgrace to the people of the colony which should at once be swept away by the strong breath of public opinion.
