A Settlement Between Britain and France. Massacre of a French Expedition. By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright. Per Press Association. London. December 8. St. James' Gazette states that England and France have settled their dispute in regard to the Upper Nile territories, and >hat France has accepted tbe position. Bbussels, December 8. Reports bare been received here that a French expedition has been massacred on the Bahr-el-Ghazal, one of tbe chief tributaries of the White Nile. The servants of the expedition effected a retreat to Obonie, in the Congo region.
