THE LUCKNOW STRIKE.
Throwing Bombs,
By Electric Telegraph. Copyright. Per Press Association. Received Sept. 28, 9.55 p.m. Sydney, September 23. A dynamite bomb was exploded near the changing room of the Lucknow mine, but fortunately no one was injured. The manager of the mine has wired that a secret meeting of miners was held, a bomb was thrown at a building where 50 men lodged, and that a larger bomb was thrown but the fuse went out in a puddle of water. The explosion caused a greet consternation, and the strikers are aghast, believing they will be accused of the dastardly act. They emphatically deny any connection with the deed.
