Distance, 1$ miles, over six flights of hurdles Bft 6in high. To start at 12 noon. 2. FLYING HANDICAP, of 20 sovs ; second horse to receive 50s from the stakes. Nomination, 7s 6d; acceptance, 128 6d. Distance. 6 furlongs. To start at 12.45 p.m. 8. MAIDEN PLATE, of 15 sovs; second .horse to receive 2 sovs from the stakes. Weight for age. Entrance 15s, on day of general acceptance. Distance, 1 mile. To start at 1.30 p.m. 4. PAHIATUA JOCKEY CLUB HANDICAP, of 50 sovs ; second horse to receive 5 sovs from the stakes. Nomination, 20s ; acceptance, 30s. Distance, 1$ miles. To start at 2.80 p.m. 5. LOCAL RACE, of 12$ sovs; second horse to receive 50s from the stakes. Entiance, 12s 6d on day of general acceptance. Distance, 1$ miles. Minimum weight, list 71b. For all horses owned in the Pahiatua County for six months prior to the date of meeting, and that have never won a race of any j description. All horses entered for this i race must not have been out of the Pahiatua County for more than a week at a time during the period of six months prior to date ot meeting. To start at 3 p.m. 6. NEWMARKET HANDICAP, of 12$ sovs • second horse to receive 50s from the stakes. Nomination, ss; acceptance, 7s Od. Distance, 5 furlongs. To start at 3.80 p.m. 7. HIGH WEIGHT HANDICAP, of 20 sovs; second horse to receive 60s from stakes. Nomination, 7s 6d ; acceptance, 12s 6d. Distance, 1$ miles. To start at 4 p.m. 8. STEWARD’S STAKES HANDICAP, of 20s sovs ; second horse to receive 50s from the stakes. Nomination, 7s 6d ; acceptance, 12s 6d. Distance, 1 mile. To start at 4.30 p.m. Nominations close on Friday, December 14th, 1894, at 9 p.m. Weights declared on Friday, December 21, 1894, at 9 p.m. Acceptances close on Friday, December 28, 1894, at 9 p.m. CONDITIONS. 1. No entry will be received for any race except upon this condition—That all disputes, claims and objections shall be decided by a majority of Stewards, or those they may appoint. Their decision upon all points connected with the carrying out of this programme shall be final. 2. All races upon this programme are open to “ Hacks” only. 3. “Hacks” shall mean horses that have never won an advertised race exceeding i the value of 40 sovs at time of start (Haek and Hunter races excepted), and that are j not nominated for a Derby, Guineas, SSt. ! Leger, or Sapling Stakes at time of I st-art. 4. All entries to be sealed and addressed | to the Secretary at Pahiatua, entrance | money enclosed, with name, age at time ! of entry, pedigree and performances of horse, name of owner, and colors of the rider. Any Jockey riding except in the | colors entered will be find 3 sovs. I 5. When two or more horses start, the | property of same owner, a distinguishing color must be worn. fl. All persons intending to withdraw horses are required to give notice to that effect to the Secretary or Clerk of the Scales one half-hour before the advertised time of starting. Any person neglecting or refusing to comply with this rule shall pay a tine of 5 sovs to the race fund. 7. All races to be run under the rules of the New Zealand Rules of Racing. 8. Horses walking-over will only receive half the stakes. 9. Horses which have won a race of the advertised value of 20 sovs or over after the declaration of weights to carry a penalty of slbs ; of 45 sovs or over, a penalty of lOlbs. 10.
