Shanghai, December 12. It is reported that the Japanese have captured Kinchow, and are commanding the road to Pekin. The invaders met and defeated 3000 Chinese troops at Kinkahua, the latter losing 100 meu. The Chinese at first stoutly resisted the attack, but afterwards broke and tied.
The .Japanese are now advancing on Tsohunkow.
The Chinese loan, which was placed on the Loadon market, has been withdrawn, the agents finding that the Chinese officials had been guilty of duplicity in connection with th -» negotiations. Received 1 a.in. •Shanghai, December 13.
The Japsnese occupied Foo Chow on the Gulf of Tiam Tong practically without bloodshed, their attack being unopposed by the Chinese, who are retreating to New Chwang. The garrison of Weihaiwai has announced that it will desert if attacked.
It i* reported that the Japanese divisions have landed on the shores of the Gulf of rechili and have taken up a position near Taku.
