The meeting called for last Friday at Corby's Hotel in connection with the proposed Coolgardie syndicate was a g'eat success. The Urge room was crowded. Mr Clark was voted to the obair, and brtefiy stated the object of the meeting and explained the views of the promoters. On the motion of Mr McPhse. seconded by Mr Corby, it was resolved to form a syndicate with a capital of £2OO, 40 shares | of £5 each ; £1 on application, 80s on allotment, and the balance at intervals as required. About half the shares were taken up in the room. Mr Lucks was appointed secretary, and Mr Corby treasurer. The meeting adjourned till Friday next when it is expected the whole of the 40 shares will be taken out. I may •av for the information of those gentlemen who have offered their services as pros pectors that they are to he selected from the members of the syndicate. lam also given to understand that one of the principal objects ot' the syndicate will be to obtain reliable information with regard to the state of labour and every department of business in and around Coolgardie.
