Presentations at Makuri Yalley.
A couple of presentations took place last week at Sefton Farm (Mr John Dick s residence), Makuri Valley, in which Mrs Dick and Mr George Winter were the very worthy reoipieuts. The presents consisted of a very handsome silver and china butter disk of costly design and suitably engraved to Mrs Dick, and a valuable silver-mounted pipe to Mr George Win ter. The latter article, it is ueedless to say, was soon tested by that gentleman. The articles were specially selected by Mr Mur thy (chairman for the occasion), who in presenting the articles made a very happy speech. In response, Mr J. He also expressed a hearty wish for tho success of future socials. Mr Winter in response thanked the bachelors for the present lie had received, which was certainly a pleasant
