STOCK REPORT,
Messrs Lowes and lorns report:— We held our usual fortnightly stock sals at our yards, Ronall Street, on Friday. Notwithstanding the inclement atate of the wetaher, stock was yarded in good numbers, although a few small lines of sheep did not oome forward. Shoep aold on an equivalent to recent quotations. Lambs were in recpiest and consequently bad spirited competition. Hairy heifera, of a bicii 30 were on hand, showed an improvement. A most useful lot of horaea were sold on acoount of Messrs Hooker Bros, and elicited more competition than has been manifost for some time past. We quote ewes in iamb, 2-tooth, 7s fid to Hs; full mouth, 6s to fia ; forward ewas, turnip fed, Hs ; forward wethers, turnip, fed, 9s Ud ; lambs, up to (la -Id ; fat bul looks, £fi 17s fid; U-year old steers, £4 15s ; oows in milk, springing, £2 5s to £6 6s ; heifers coining to calf, L 8 5a tn LB 17a fid ; draught horaas sold at an averags of about L 18; lightsr horsss, Ll 4 to Ll 7 ; «n« ai«« pail light uvh bringing Lsß.
