Ram Fair. The two days' Ram Fair, under the auspices of the above Association, must be pronounced a success. A considerable reduction in the prices of all prices of rams was anticipated by both vendors and purchasers, but the result to breeders of good stock must, notwithstanding the I general reduction in values, have been highly satisfactory. Mr Stuckey’s started the Fair, and with 70 2-toothß averaged 3 j guineas. Messis Perry Bros, with half-a-dozen went to 26 guineas, and Mr Kayner’s average for flocks was 3$ guineas, price** being from 8 to 6 guineas. Mr E. Meredith's showed a marked improvement, and brought from 2$ to 4 guineas, averaging Bf. Mr F. Moore’s full mouth rams, bred by Mr Me Hardy, averaged 1$ guineas. Mr McMaster had a very nice lot which were much appreciated, and sold from 31 to 6 guineas, averaging 5 guineas. Mr McKenzie sold a fair pen of 4-tooths. which averaged 2 guineas; Messrs Bannister Bros, averaged 3t guineas; Mr Macara's 20 embraced some very good well-woolled rams, all fitiding purchasers at an average of 2 guineas. Mr R. Johnston, MrSterapaand others aold at an average of half a guinea over their reserves. On the second day the attendance was even larger than on the first, and the bidding was fairly spirited for all lines. The sale taken as a whole may be considered a decided success, about 900 sheep being 6old, and the prices generally being pa«*factory to vendor* Lowas and lor>r. 9th February. 1894-
