STOCK. Messrs Abraham & Williams report:— At Pahiatua on Wednesday we yarded a full market of sheep comprising all classes, in the wool and out. The tone of the sale was dull throughout, buyers acting without confidence. Some extra good lots proved an exception to the rule and met with a ready sale. Cattle were in short supply but the late fall in values still held. We quote : —Good forward wethers in the wool, 11s 5d to 12s 5d ; first-class hoggets, 11s 3d ; first-class shorn hoggets, 7s 6d to 8s 6d ; others. 6s 6d. Dairy cows, £5 5s to £6 4s 6d ; 2-year steers, £3 15s ; weaners, £1 19s.
