That settlers in the Whangamomona district (Taranaki), within a few miles of the township, have been living on their sections for 26 years without road access, was shown by a deputation of settlers that waited on the Whangamomona County Council recently. They had access only by a track, and since the floods of 1924 the track had frequently been impassable.
