BURESH AND BURMISTER DRAW. INVERCARGILL. August 5. A wrestling bout here this evening between Stan Buresh and Sam Burmister ended in a draw, each securing a submission fall. WALKER AND PINTO DRAW. AUCKLAND, August 3. George Walker, the ex-Canadian wrestler, who is now resident in New Zealand, maintained his undefeated record for the past two seasons by drawing With Stanley Pinto, of the United States, after eight rounds of rtrenuous wrestling in the Town Hall to-night. Walker secured a fall in the seventh round with a double arm lock, while P into evened in the final round with a submission fall, secured with a double arm scissors combined with the trapping of one leg. The bout was one of the most strenuous seen in Auckland. Hundreds of people were unable to gain admission, and ticket selling stopped about half-past 7. Those who held tickets and arrived after that hour found it impossible to reach the doorways. The police had a strenuous hour coping with the seething throng, and the main bout had commenced at 9 o’clock before some reserved ticket holders were settled in their seats. Even George Walker and his wife were held up for some considerable time.

ALLEY DEFEATS M’DOUGALL. WELLINGTON, August 3. In a match" full of good wrestling tonight Tom Alley defeated Scotty M’Dougall, who was 51b heavier, by two falls to one. M'Dougall won the first fall in the third round with a crucifix, but Aliev equalised in the next by concentrating on one of M’Dougall’s arms, which was bandaged, forcing him to submit to an armlock. Alley won in the fifth round by concentrating further on the same arm, making M’Dougall submit to a straight armbar between the thighs. The match drew an excellent house. KARA PASHA AND PINTO DRAW. WANGANUI, August 9.. The first professional wrestling bout in Wanganui for many years was staged in the Opera House last night. The building was packed to capacity. Kara Pasha (12.12) and Stanley Pinto (14.3) drew with one fall each. In the fifth round Kara Pasha secured a fall with a Boston crab, and Pinto evened matters in the seventh with a slam and body press. Many of the spectators, who evidently expected a spectacular display, appeared to be disappointed, and hooted the referee’s announcement. PENCHEFF DEFEATS M’DOUGALL. NEW PLYMOUTH, August 9. Peneheff secured the verdict against M'Dougall in a wrestling bout at Stratford on Saturday night in the sixth round. M'Dougall threw Peneheff out of the ring, and, thia having been barred by mutual consent, M’Dougall was disqualified. Each man had a fall to his credit.
