-ENSATION IN ENGLAND.
WARNING OFF OF TRAINER. LONDON, September 29. A turf sensation followed the warning off of C. Chapman, trainer of the horse Don Pat, which won a race at Kempton Park, the Jockey Club alleging that the horse was doped. This is the second case of warning off within a few days. Chapman’s friends insist that he is innocent and assert that he is the victim of a plot. Every effort is being made to track down the perpetrators, and the owner, Mr Geoffrey Gilbey, states: “I am prepared to spend every penny to prove his innocence.”
LONDON, October 2. The friends of the trainer, C. Chapman who was warned off for the alleged (loping of a horse, have offered a reward of £5OO for information which will acquit him of the doping accusation.
