SUN NEWSPAPERS, LIMITED.
MEETING OF SHAREHOLDERS. AUCKLAND, September 26. A meeting of shareholders in the Sun Newspapers. Ltd., convened by Mr Harold Schmidt “to consider the action of the Sun’s directors in disposing of the Auckland assets,” passed a resolution to-night urging the Government to insert an amendment in the Companies Act making it obligatory for all limited liability companies to issue a confidential balance sheet to shareholders at least once a year. About 30 shareholders attended, and about 30 former employees of the company were present.
