Scarlet fever, which has been prevalent in the Timaru district for some weeks past, is now easing off (says the Herald). One case only was notified from Timaru last week, but two cases from Waimate and one from Hook were notified on Tuesday. —Nearly ten million copies of *iie Bible were distributed last year by the Bible Society.
