THE BATCHELOR CASE.
APPLICATION FOR BAIL REFUSED. CHRISTCHURCH, February 25.
John Black Batchelor was again remanded by Mr E. D. Mosley, S.M., in the Magistrate’s Court to-day on two charges of theft of £9BG and £3OO respectively. “ I do not think that Batchelor’s mentality is conducive to his admission to bail,” said the magistrate, in refusing counsel’s application c r bail, and granting a remand till March 5.
