NOMINATIONS for All Events close at 5 p.m. on WEDNESDAY, MARCH 6. 1929. HANDICAPS for the First Day will appear in the morning papers of THURSDAY, MARCH 14, 1929. ACCEPTANCES (First Day) .will close at 5 p.m. on MONDAY, MARCH IS, 1929. HANDICAPS for Second Day will be posted at the Club’s Office at 8 pm. on First Day’s Races, and ACCEPTANCES will close at 9 o’clock SAME EVENING. RULES AND REGULATIONS. ’ All races will be run under the Rules of the New Zealand Racing Conference and trotting events under the New Zealand Trotting Association Rules. All nominations and acceptances must be accompanied by the necessary fees, otherwise they may bo deemed informal. Any entry made by- telegram or telephone must be confirmed in writing forthwith, giving full particulars. Owners and trainers are reminded of Rule V, Part XV, Rules of Racing.

Entries to state age, colour, and pedigree of horse, name of owner and trainer, colours of rider, and performances of all horses not known to the handicapper. NOTE—AII riders must appear in proper costume and ride in tfie colours declared, or a substantial fine will be imposed. This rule will be strictly carried out. By the entering of a horse every person having or subsequently acquiring an interest in such horse shall be deemed thereby to undertake, neither directly nor indirectly, not to make any wager with a bookmaker in connection with such horse or any other horse in the race in which such horse is so entered. Each entry shall contain, or, if it does not contain, shall be conclusively assumed to contain such an undertaking; breach whereof shall be deemed a corrupt practice on the turf within the meaning of Part XXXII of these Rules. Any horse whose nomination has not beenconfirmed and all particulars as required for the race book furnished before the handicaps are due may not be handicapped. Any winner after the declaration of handicaps may jje rehandicapped. Every person applying for admission to any course, and every person entering or endeavouring to enter a horse for any race, and every person having or subsequently acquiring any interest in such horse shall be deemed to accept all the conditions and restrictions imposed or implied by these Rules, and to be debarred from questioning the action of the conference, appeal judges, association, club, racing club or body, committee, stewards, officials, agents, or servants in respect of any such person or horse, or any person connected therewith, otherwise than is provided for in Part XXX of the Rules of Trotting and Parts XXX and XXXIII Rules of Racing,
